Gunung Kidul has many gorgeous beach, one of them is Sadranan Beach. The location of this beach is quite hidden from other beach in Gunung Kidul. This beach is located in Pulegundes II Hamlet, Sidoarjo Village, Tepus, Gunung Kidul. It took 2 – 3 hours to get to this beach if you start it from Yogyakarta.

Sadranan Beach have white sand and calm waves. This beach is between Krakal Beach and Indrayanti beach. Therefore, this beach has not been widely visited yet (except weekend). However, this beach become more interesting for tourist that looking for private beach in Yogyakarta.

Beside of the calm waves, white sand, and clean beach, another things that make this beach more interesting is you can do snorkeling here! If you do not have the snorkeling stuff, they will rent it out for you. The price is very cheap, only 50.000 (IDR)/ pax, you can get the snorkeling stuff, include snorkeling glasses, float, snorkeling hose, and also one coach. So do not worry if you cannot do snorkeling, the coaches are ready to teach you.

The coaches will show you some favorite snorkeling location, those are Watu Pecah and Kali Senggoro. These two location are have natural sea-life. You can still see the natural coral reefs that also become a home for some endangered fish species. Some of them are Kepe – kepe, Areng – areng, Moray eel, grouper, Muniran/ Pajung paru, etc.
